Newly retired after over 40 years of woodworking, mostly self-employed, Mark has finally found enough free time to join the PTSW board. He also hopes to find the time to sign up for a class or two. He & his wife, Stacy, have run Niagara Woodworks & Design for over 35 years in Port Townsend, working on numerous projects, both residential & commercial. Their PT native son, Rio, has his own woodworking business in Missoula, MT.

“I’ve been curious about Port Townsend’s woodworking school since its beginning and always hoped to get involved, either by attending classes or teaching one, but life got in the way, & I’m only now, at this late date, finding a way to participate. I’m enjoying learning about the school’s curriculum, meeting students & staff, and dropping into the classrooms now & then to see it all in action. I’m looking forward to finding my niche so that I might help out in a way that benefits the school in a meaningful way.”

Mark’s particular interest is in the wide variety of woodwork programs currently offered at the school, but he’s also hoping to get involved with the scholarship opportunities that are available to potential students.
