Port Townsend Japanese Woodworking Festival

A celebration of Japanese Woodworking at Fort Worden State Park, Port Townsend, WA. Saturday, August 15, 2026, 10am - 5pm.

Demonstrations of log hewing with adzes & axes, sharpening & tool preparation, blacksmithing & tool making, joinery practice. Watch a sawing competition and listen to lectures on forestry & Japanese tools.

Parking

You are required to have a Discover Pass to park at Fort Worden State Park. You can purchase one here or purchase a day pass from the kiosk by the gate when you arrive.

Follow the signage and parking attendants to park in the designated event lot between Building 324 and our 315 workshop.
