Lucie Paradis
Lucie Paradis is an educator, youth voice advocate, and woodworker. Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Lucie is a graduate of the Dual BA program between Columbia University in NYC and Sciences Po in Reims, France, where she studied human rights and education. After getting her teaching license in high school English, Lucie moved across the pond to Scotland, where they obtained a Master's of Science in Education Futures from the University of Edinburgh. Having worked in both schools and educational nonprofits in the US and abroad, Lucie is dedicated to ensuring that young people and adult students can access programming that empowers them and their communities. Lucie took a leap into the woodworking world in September 2025, joining PTSW's 6-month Foundations of Woodworking course, and enthusiastically joining the staff team as a spring/summer shop tech shortly after graduating. She is excited to bring her creative eye, classroom experience, and newfound passion for wood craftsmanship to the position.
When she's not prepping wood for classes, you can find Lucie strolling at Fort Worden, collaging with every piece of paper she comes into contact with, planning camping trips on the Peninsula, and devising recipes to use up all her produce before it goes bad.
