Foundations of Woodworking Graduate Lou Regele

Wood inspires me. I'm totally obsessed with it. I love the way it looks and feels and smells. I would be very happy making tables, chests, and anything beautiful and useful out of wood for a very long time.

I've always loved making things. It took a while to figure out I preferred making things out of wood but when I did everything seemed to click in place. After working in some furniture and cabinet shops I was frustrated with my lack of knowledge about working with real wood. No one around me seemed to have the answer. So I packed up and moved across the country to take the foundations class. It was completely life changing. I no longer look at beautiful wood furniture and marvel as if it were done with a skill I could never achieve myself.

Post Foundations Class I moved to Walla Walla. I'm currently working on setting up a shop space where I will further my woodworking career. The skills learned in the foundations class have given me tremendous excitement about what I can and will build in the future.
